Work With Me
SBB Independent Social Work provides compassionate, professional, and tailored support to parents, families, and professionals. My services are designed to empower individuals, strengthen families, and create positive change.
Relational & Reflective Parenting Work
I work alongside parents who want space to think more deeply about their relationships with their children, their experiences, and the patterns that shape family life. This includes work within private law contexts, where support around contact and parenting is needed.
This is not about quick answers or prescriptive advice. It is about slowing things down, making sense of what is happening, and supporting change in a way that feels sustainable.
My work is informed by social work practice and increasingly shaped by therapeutic approaches to emotional wellbeing and relationships.
Supervised Contact (Private Law)
Safe, supported contact between parent and child, with clear and balanced reporting where required.
My approach to supervision is relational and thoughtful. I aim to create a space where contact can take place safely, while also paying attention to the experience of the child and the dynamics within the relationship.
Where appropriate, I can provide clear, balanced reports to support court processes.
This work is usually arranged directly with parents or through legal representatives.
I have extensive experience of working with children and families within court contexts, and I understand the importance of clarity, neutrality, and careful observation in this work.
Reflective Practice & Professional Support
I offer reflective space for professionals who want to think carefully about their work, particularly in complex or emotionally demanding situations.
This may include:
– one-to-one reflective sessions
– small group reflective spaces
– practice-based discussions around parenting and relationships
My background in social work and teaching informs this work, alongside my ongoing development in therapeutic approaches.
Specialist / By Agreement Work
I undertake a small amount of specialist work, including Best Interests Assessments (Children & Immigration) in immigration cases involving children and families.
This work is primarily carried out through long-standing professional relationships.
It does not include Best Interests Assessor (DoLS) work with adults.
I am not currently seeking new instructions for standard parenting or court-directed assessments.
