About Me
Drawing on my experience across social work and education, I have dedicated my career to empowering individuals and families through compassionate, practical, and tailored support. As a Senior Social Worker (SWE registered, BASW) and an experienced educator, I specialise in parenting support, safeguarding, and mental well-being, working across diverse sectors, including palliative care, family support, therapeutic residential care, and CAMHS.
My passion for strengthening families led me to develop the UMI Parenting Course, designed to help parents navigate the challenges of raising children with confidence and clarity. Through UMI and my independent social work services, I provide expert assessments, supervised contacts, training, and coaching.
My holistic approach integrates psychosocial insights, spiritual well-being, and trauma-informed care, ensuring that every individual I support is heard, valued, and empowered. Whether working with parents, young people, or professionals, my goal remains the same: to inspire growth, resilience, and positive change.
Current Focus
My practice has developed over time from statutory social work and teaching into a more relational and reflective way of working.
I am particularly interested in how people make sense of their experiences, how relationships are shaped, and how change becomes possible.
I am currently deepening my practice through training in counselling and therapeutic approaches. While I do not offer counselling or therapy, this learning increasingly informs how I work.
